The Setting
Built before the Civil War. Restored for the lens.
Guild House sits inside an 1855 Italianate brick rowhome on Locust Street, between Broad and 13th. From 1882 it served as the headquarters of the New Century Guild — one of the country’s earliest clubs supporting working women — and the building’s bones were preserved through more than a century of continuous use.
Today it operates as a 12-key boutique hotel with a Michelin Key, a Travel + Leisure World’s Best new hotel mention, and editorial photography credits already on the books. For productions, that translates to one thing: an interior with documented period detail you don’t have to dress in.
“Mullioned glass, breathtaking woodwork, armoires the size of bison — all preserved, all in working condition.”

Why Film Here
Production-ready,
period-correct.
/ 01
Full-house buyout
Book the entire property as a private set. No public guests, no overlapping bookings, no reception desk to work around — twelve rooms, the Library Lounge, and all common areas at your call time.
/ 02
Twelve distinct interiors
Each suite is named after a remarkable woman who lived or worked at the New Century Guild, and each is dressed differently. One location, twelve looks — from intimate boudoir to grand parlor.
/ 03
Period architecture, intact
Original built-ins, mullioned windows, ornate plasterwork, hardwood floors and fireplaces. Suitable for period drama from the Gilded Age through mid-century — without a stick of set dressing.
/ 04
Center City logistics
1307 Locust Street, between Broad and 13th. Walking distance to City Hall, the Convention Center, Washington Square, and Independence Mall. Multiple parking garages on the block for grip and crew vehicles.
/ 05
Invisible service model
The hotel runs on a no-front-desk model — meaning fewer staff on set, less foot traffic, and a property already designed for private, low-impact use. Crew gets the building; we stay out of frame.
/ 06
Crew accommodation on-site
Need talent and key crew housed steps from set? The same twelve rooms that anchor the location can be turned over for accommodation between shoot days. One contract, one address.
